Broad bean Care
Plant out from May onwards and protect from any late frosts. Plant directly into a pre-made bed or into a container. Broad beans will need a strong support such as a wigwam. When your runner reaches the tops of the canes, pinch it to encourage bushy growth. Your broad beans will be ready about 8 weeks after planting. Make sure not to leave any old beans on the plants as this will encourage the plant not to make nice new ones.
