Salvia Farinacea is a really beautiful summer bedding plant, which has stunning deep blue 'spire-like' flowers darting above their dark green foliage. In my opinion one of the most underrated summer bedding plants. The variety we use is named Victoria Blue.
We plant 3 seeds in a 2L pot so you get a really big plant and a good pot full, growing to around 30-40cm tall these Salvia work well in the centre of planted arrangements or towards the back of raised beds.
Ensure you fertilise and water these plants to ensure they continue flowering all summer long. These Salvia will enjoy the summer heat and last until first frost.
