Solanum Pseudocapsicum, commonly know as the Jeruselum Cherry, Christmas Cherry or Winter Cherry is a fantastic plant that shows Bright Orange berries on a dark green contrasting foliage from around September well into Christmas. Growing to around 35cm in height in a lovely bushy fashion, this plant is perfect to use for centre pieces in planted containers. Solanum is just about hardy enough to survive a UK winter (if kept near your house or in a porch, they will be ok).

Great for Halloween as well as Christmas decorations as the berries will be fully Orange and bright by that time.

Solanum can also be successfully grown as houseplants, just make sure that they get good light and plenty of fertiliser. To ensure your Solanum come back year after year cut them back in the spring around March or April time.

A great value for money plant that can give you years of joy with the correct care.
Plants have green berries at the moment as they are just starting to change colour.

Unusual autumn colour splash

I brought this to add some colour to my sad looking garden in the autumn and so far they are still looking really good (despite a few days of frost/snow) and I hope to keep them going for the rest of the year.

The blackbirds have also enjoyed the berries so they've had a duel purpose in the garden which has meant they are well worth the money.

Large colourful plants

I was pleasantly surprised when I received these Solanum plants as they are larger and much more colourful and striking than I anticipated. They look as if they will bring a good splash of colour in the months ahead. I am very pleased with this buy.

Large colourful choice for winter

I have not had Solanum in my garden before so I was delighted to receive such large, healthy and colourful plants covered in the brightest coloured berries. Hopefully they will continue to brighten the garden in the months ahead. Looking good!

Something different

I had not seen these before, they added colour during the winter months last year and I have bought some more for this year.
Highly recommend Woodlark
