Ajuga, also known as Bugle, is a creeping perennial which shoots up small upright spire like flowers from April through to June. Ajuga are used mainly for their interesting foliage, brilliant for shady borders and/or ground-cover. These guys can tolerate full sun and shade, even poor soils, but they do not like to dry out.
To get the best out of your Ajuga plants lift and divide clumps in late autumn or Early spring every two years.
A versatile perennial that gives you something interesting at good value.
