Busy Lizzie (Impatiens Walleriana) is an absolute classic, tried and tested bedding plant. Hard to be beat when it comes to continuous colour throughout summer. Busy Lizzies are extremely versatile and can be planted in beds, borders, baskets and containers. Brilliant for filling spaces quickly with colour.
Historically Britain's most popular bedding plant, unfortunately Busy Lizzies were hit with a fatal disease a few years ago, making them impossible to grow and plant out. Luckily, Pan American seeds company came up with new breeding, which fully disease resistant! This is the variety we use, named beacon. So don't be nervous about planting these new Busy Lizzies out.
These will last until the Autumn and will flower profusely all summer long. Dead-head and feed when needed to get the best from your plants. Plants can grow to around 30cm tall and 30cm wide, giving you real value for money. I don't know about you, but we are pleased to see these guys back on the nursery.
